Barbaricum seeks an Artificial Intelligence Analyst to provide support to the next iteration of a fast-paced and dynamic program supporting the U.S. military 4 star-led, joint command United States Forces Korea (USFK) in South Korea.This position will collaborate with a team of software engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems for USFK's operational needs.Responsibilities - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or other languages as required by the project.
- Assist in conducting unit tests and integration tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
- Identify and debug issues or errors in the code and propose appropriate solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders, users, and senior software engineers to understand software requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design, user manuals, and release notes to facilitate knowledge sharing and support future maintenance.
- Collaborate effectively with the development team, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and progress to the team and management.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects, performance issues, or security vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing software systems.
- Stay updated with the latest software development practices, tools, and technologies.
- Continually improve technical skills and contribute to the team's growth and knowledge sharing.
- Adhere to security protocols and best practices to ensure software systems are developed and maintained with a focus on cybersecurity and data protection.
- Follow software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet project requirements.
Qualifications- Active DoD Secret clearance required (TS and above desired)
- 2-3 years of experience and proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in software development, such as Java, C++, Python, etc.
- Experience in a military or defense-related environment is beneficial but not mandatory; working experience at USFK or other 4-star joint headquarters is desired
- Familiarity with software development concepts, including algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and software development methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to debug and troubleshoot software issues and propose effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and end-users.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages, adapt to project requirements, and continuously improve technical skills
