Barbaricum is seeking a Graphic Design Specialist to provide design and visual communications services to an active contract supporting US Forces-Korea. The Graphic Design Specialist will serve as a utility player supporting all aspects of the contract to ensure that deliverables are visually appealing, clear and easy to digest for Key Leaders as well as general audiences. This position is based in South Korea and requires an active DoD Secret clearance.Responsibilities
  • Apply mastery of the competencies related to visual organization, working with visual elements in two and three dimensions, color theory and its applications.
  • Communicate design ideas to the client, receiving guidance for changes, and workingbcollaboratively through an iterative process to the final product.
  • Create visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate through the preparation of a wide variety of means.
  • Work collaboratively and independently to provide on-time and high-quality deliverables.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of technologies and equipment associated with graphic design.
  • Organize design projects and work productively as a member of the team.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, and with precision, cogency, and rhetorical force.
  • Address problems of culture and history from a variety of perspectives.
  • Apply understanding of the nature of professional work in organizational structures and working patterns, and artistic, intellectual, economic, technological, military, and political contexts.
  • Flex work activity to assist the team in any requirements articulated by the client.
Qualifications
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent experience demonstrating a mastery of the basics of graphic design, effectively utilizing the products in the Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Minimum four years of related experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate perceptual acuity, conceptual understanding, and technical facility.
  • Mastery of a variety of design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Acrobat and Flash.
  • A high degree of expertise with the Microsoft Office suite.
