We are excited to be rapidly expanding our team and are now seeking a Software Sales Specialist to help us further build our capabilities and manage our client projects.

The Software Sales Specialist position is critical to adding value for our clients. With the support of our Associates, Senior Associates and Managers, the Sales Specialist will advise licensees/end customers on vendor software (e.g., Oracle, VMware, etc.) license non-compliance issues, with a special focus on reselling vendor software/solutions to resolve licensing issues or software gaps in Korea.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Sales Specialist with experience in licensing and/or software sales (Oracle a plus) to manage and drive commercial resolution of ongoing software audits, as well as drive new sales and service opportunities for Connor.

The Sales specialist will be responsible for the resolution of multiple simultaneous client engagements and for being the liaison between vendors and their customers/licensees. The main tasks include negotiation and alignment with vendor contacts on sales and pricing strategies, support licensees/end customers in finding mutually agreeable solutions to existing license issues and raise awareness about applicable licensing rules, while achieving maximum margin targets and minimizing cycle time of deal closing.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Supplier License Management Services, Account Managers and Sales representatives (Direct and Channel)
  • Interact with cross functional teams at clients and licensees and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Obtain high-level understanding of licensee’s IT infrastructures, before addressing the compliance position with licensees / end customers
  • Independently prepare client deliverables such as pricing and offers
  • Actively drive sales pursuits in vendor license non-compliant situations, while identifying opportunities for new vendor deployment products and services
  • Manage towards audit KPIs including deadlines and budgets
  • Position Connor Software Advisory and/or GRC services post-audit to help transform customer relationships for vendors
  • Drive incremental vendor software resell and Connor service opportunities with new or existing auditees
  • Identify new sales and service opportunities for Connor across all applicable Lines of Business
  • Provide regular deal and sales forecast updates to Sr. Connor Leadership

Requirements

Experience, Skills, and Characteristics

  • 3-5 years of enterprise software sales experience in Korea
  • Knowledge of Oracle Tech (DB and FMW) and Cloud products is a plus
  • Strong interest and solid understanding of licensing policies, audit procedures and channel sales processes
  • Previous exposure to audit experiences, including contractual review, software licensing reviews, and/or contract compliance experience
  • Proficient understanding of technology and software license contracts.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Hard working, detail oriented and ability to autonomously manage the entire sales process from the negotiation to the administrative tasks and due diligences: contracts, POs, system registration.
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, and able to work well independently and in team environments.
  • Proven experience with building strong relationships and instilling trust with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to adapt to different licensee conditions and cultural differences while executing audits globally, while building and maintaining meaningful relationships with coworkers
  • Strategic thinker with ability to make prudent business decisions.
