Favorite Medium is a digital consultancy specialising in web and mobile software product development. Established in 2006, we have offices in Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, and San Francisco and have developed digital products for clients all over the world in the media, technology, and financial services verticals.
We are looking for a meticulous, curious front-end software engineer to join our team. An ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of work experience and deep knowledge of at least one object-oriented or functional programming language.
This is a remote position but there is a requirement to reside within South Korea and to be a citizen or a permanent resident.

Requirements
- Experience developing and deploying web and mobile PWA applications
- Significant, hands-on experience deploying production applications using TypeScript in a modern front-end web frameworks (e.g. React, Angular)
- Complete command of a statically-typed programming language such as C or Rust
- Network programming experience with TCP/IP sockets
- Solid understanding of computer architecture
- Fluent in Korean, comfortable communicating in spoken and written English
- Physical location: South Korea (anywhere)
- Exposure to design tools, such as Figma, Invision, Adobe XD, etc.
- React Native and/or native Android or iOS SDKs
- WASM exposure
- Functional language interest (Haskell, Elm, Erlang, or similar)
- Active in the open source community as a blogger or contributor
